The Troy Trojans (8-12, 3-7) lost a second volleyball match against the Arkansas State Red Wolves (18-4, 8-2) in a Sun Belt Conference match on Oct. 25.

The Trojans lost 3-2 the previous night and also lost 3-2 in the second match, despite a furious comeback. Arkansas State won the first two sets 25-17 and looked to be on the way to a dominant sweep only for Troy to come storming back with a 25-20 win in the third set. Troy also won the fourth by a score of 25-23 to tie things up. In the fifth set, though, it was all ASU as the Wolves took the match with a 15-7 win.

“I thought we came out and didn’t give up. Played with good effort until the end, you know, and just kind of didn’t execute as well as we needed to in the fifth set,” Troy Coach Josh Lauer said. “Two tough road losses against a good team, and now we’ve got to kind of regroup and get back in the gym because we have a short turnaround this week before matches on Thursday and Friday back at home.
