The Pike County Salvation Army is on a cleaning spree and it will be hard to pass up the deals that will be available at the “army’s” big yard said set for November 1 and 2.
Volunteers are needed and more than welcome.
“We have cleaned out our back room and put everything in the parking lot for our one dollar sale,” said Donna Kidd, Pike County Salvation Army director. “The one dollar item sale helps us clean out for the holidays and makes room for our Angel tree.”
The one dollar per item sale will be out at 9 a.m. and at 3 p.m. the leftovers will be trucked out.
Kidd said the afternoon is when the most help is needed and, hopefully, there will be some volunteers to help.
“We also have our special, secret recipe Camp Stew Sale coming up on November 7,” Kidd said. ”We would love to have everyone that can come to the Goshen Annex to help finish preparing the Carter Sanders recipe camp stew and cup it, pack it and bring it back to the store to sell. We really appreciate any, and all help provided. Hope to see you there!
