Troy Volleyball sweeps ULM in Halloween conference battle

The Troy Trojans celebrated Halloween with a spooky 3-0 sweep of the ULM Warhawks on Thursday night at Trojan Arena.
Troy won all three sets 25-3, 25-21 and 25-23 to take the conference win. The win snaps a three-game losing streak for the Trojans. Tori Hester led the Trojans with 19 kills, one ace and eight digs, while Amiah Butler tallied 11 kills and five blocks. Hester is on a 43-match streak with double-digit kills, which is the longest streak in the entire country. Butler is now just 11 kills away from surpassing 1,000 career kills.
Kalina Calvillo chipped in with 13 kills and Janelle Stuempfig dished 38 assists. ULM was led by Ariana Brown with 13 kills and two aces.
Troy rematches with ULM at 6 p.m. tonight at Trojan Arena.
