The Johnson Center for the Arts just might be the busiest place in town.

There is always something to see or do or learn. Sometimes, all three.

Rebekah Alexander, JCA community engagement liaison, said the fall holiday season is an exciting time for all ages.

On Friday, the JCA will feature an artist reception from 5 until 7 p.m. that features “Artistry Unbound,” an exhibition showcasing art from the Montgomery Art Guild and the Pike County Art Guild. The exhibit will run through January 3, 2025,

The JCA’s Christmas Tree Extravaganza  features trees decorated by local city, county and homeschool students. The Christmas Tree Extravaganza will be upstairs and may be viewed through January 3.

“For a creative escape, the JCA Second Saturday Studio on November 9 at Art by the Tracks is the place to be.

“Bring your ideas and your friends for a fun and inspiring session using a variety of materials,” Alexander said. “Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, this is a fantastic opportunity to experiment with different mediums in a relaxed and supportive environment.”

The materials are free as is the opportunity to unleash one’s creativity,

Children under the age of 12, must be accompanied by an adult.
