General Election results certified by probate judge

Tuesday, the results of the 2024 General Election last week were certified by Pike County Probate Judge Michael Bunn.

According to documents filed with Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen, 13,292 of 24,517 registered voters cast ballots for a turnout of 54.22 percent.

Presidential Ticket: Kamala D. Harris (D), 4,899; Donald J. Trump, (R) 8,224; Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (I), 53; Chase Oliver (I) 20; Jill Stein (I), 18.

United States Representative, 2nd Congressional District: Shomari Figures (D), 4,911; Caroleene Dobson (R), 8,240.

Pike County Races

All races but Pike County Commission District 1 were unopposed. Commission District 1 was vacant and the winner was determined by write-in votes.

Pike County Circuit Clerk: Jamie Neeley Scarbrough (R), 9,109.

Pike County Judge of Probate: Michael Bunn (R), 9,006.

Pike County Commission, District 1: Lawanda Green defeated Greg Wright 449 to 113 in a write-in campaign.

Pike County Commission, District 2: Robin Sullivan (R), 701.

Pike County Commission, District 3: Jimmy Barron (R), 1,232.

Pike County Commission, District 4: Chad Copeland (R), 1,113.

Pike County Commission, District 5: Cynthia Pearson (D), 965.

Pike County Commission, District 6: Russell David Johnson (R), 1,194.

Pike County Board of Education, District 5: Clint T. Foster (D), 1,425.

Pike County Board of Education, District 6: Amanda S. Hughes (R), 2,036.
