Troy Volleyball signs five to Class of 2025

On Wednesday, the Troy University volleyball team announced the signing of five incoming freshman to the Class of 2025.
The five signees include Clearwater, Fla., setter Josie Hensley; Fenton, Mo., middle hitter Lainey Waser; Orange Park, Fla., outside hitter Brooke Forum; Franklin, Wis., libero Madison Marx; and Knoxville, Tenn., defensive specialist Brooke Dawson.
“We are very excited about our entire 2025 class,” Troy Coach Josh Lauer said. “We are adding elite students, players of high character and improving our athleticism and volleyball IQ at every position with the addition of Josie, Lainey, Brooke, Madison and Brooke. Today is a fun and exciting day for the future the of the Troy Volleyball family!”
Hensley is a 6-foot-1-inch Clearwater Central Catholic High School (Fla.) senior that was named AVCA All-Region last season and FACA 2A District 14 Player of the Year and All-Star MVP. As a senior, she tallied 712 assists, 140 kills, 30 aces, 44 blocks and 251 digs. She helped lead her team to a state championship as a sophomore. During her career, she posted 2,520 assists, 900 digs and 533 kills.
Waser is a 6-foot-2-inch, Rockwood Summit High School (Mo.) senior that earned All-District honors as a junior. That season, she tallied 178 kills, 46 blocks, 27 digs and six assists.
The 6-foot Forkum comes to Troy from Middleburg High School in Florida where she earned All-County honors in 2022, 2023 and 2024 along with earning All-Tournament honors in 2023 and 2024. During her career, she tallied 1,085 kills, 106 blocks and 946 digs. As a senior, she earned 368 kills, 45 aces, 17 blocks, 232 digs and 32 assists.
Marx is a 5-foot-5-inch Franklin High School (Wis.) senior that earned both All-Conference and All-State honors as a junior. Marx finished her high school career with the school record in aces in a match, career aces and single season aces. She also holds Franklin High’s season assist record.
As a senior, she tallied 107 kills, 109 aces, 27 blocks, 211 digs and 835 assists. During her career she compiled 2,453 assists, 907 digs, 40 blocks, 321 aces and 212 kills.
Dawson is a 5-foot-8-inch Bearden High School (Tenn.) senior that earned District 4-3A Libero of the Year in both 2023 and 2024 along with All-District and All-Tournament honors. She recorded 1,264 career digs along with 74 aces during her high school career. As a senior, she tallied 14 kills, 17 aces, 439 digs and 67 assists.
