Troy Baseball announces 2025 Signing Class

On Monday, the Troy University baseball team announced the signing of six high school seniors and two junior college players to the Class of 2025.
The signing class features Enterprise pitcher/infielder Brady Richardson, Chapin High School (SC) catcher Caden Reeves, Niceville High School (Fla.) pitcher Brady Martin, South Walton High School (Fla.) pitcher/outfielder Cameron Tipton, Baylor High School (Tenn.) pitcher/utility Matt Dill, Venice High School (Fla.) pitcher/utility Jackson Lucas, Pensacola State College pitcher Matteo Pare and Modesto Junior College pitcher Nate Criswell.
“First and foremost, I want to give a huge thanks to my assistant coaches for their work in helping deliver another great class of kids,” Troy Coach Skylar Meade said. “Coach Wolgamot, Coach Fineman and Coach Godwin spend a lot of time on the road all over the country, and their efforts are never appreciated enough. This group of eight has some dynamic 2-way players, arms with real breaking stuff, and some position players with explosive ability. Getting this entire group on campus next fall will be essential in us continuing our upwards climb for Troy Baseball.”
Richardson earned a .411 batting average in 2024 with 10 doubles, five home runs, 23 RBIs, 35 runs. As a pitcher, he held a 6-3 record as a starter with a 1.37 ERA and 93 strikeouts. Richardson is also a member of the American Legion World Series Champion Troy Post 70 squad.
Reeves earned All-State honors last season after hitting .400 with nine home runs. Martin is a right-handed pitcher and the son of Northwest Florida State head coach Doug Martin and is coming off a junior campaign that saw him earn All-State honors with a 1.36 ERA and 94 strikeouts. The 94 strikeouts broke his high school’s strikeout record.
As a right-handed pitcher, Tipton earned a 1.41 ERA last season with 71 strikeouts, while also boasting a .330 batting average and four homers. Dill is also a right-handed pitcher and the brother of current Troy pitcher, Jay Dill. He’s earned All-Region honors twice and has a career 1.66 ERA.
Lucas is a left-handed pitcher that earned All-Area honors last season after holding a .187 ERA with 51 strikeouts on the mound. He also earned a .373 batting average with nine doubles.
Pare is a right-handed pitcher from Canada that is coming off a freshman season at Pensacola State where he earned a 6-2 record on the mound. He struck out 43 batters and held a 4.99 ERA. Pare played high school baseball at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School in LaSalle, Ontario, Canada before playing one year at TNXL Academy in Ocoee, Fla.
Criswell is a right-handed pitcher from Oakdale, Calif., that is coming off a freshman season at Modesto Junior College that saw him strike out 18 batters and post a 7.79 ERA in 15 relief appearances. He played high school baseball at Oakdale High School in California. Criswell throws a 96 mile-per-house fastball.
