Area Basketball: Lady Dawgs, Lady Trojans compete in Thursday action

Both the Charles Henderson Lady Trojans and Pike County Lady Bulldogs were in hoops action on Thursday.
The Pike County Lady Dawgs lost 30-29 in a close matchup against Calhoun in the Luverne Lady Tigers Pre-Thanksgiving Shootout. Kynthis Jackson led Pike County with seven points, while Zohee Lucy earned six points.
The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots also lost 45-18 to Brantley in the Luverne Shootout.
The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans lost 59-29 to Class 7A’s Auburn on Thursday. Reaghan Worley led CHHS with 13 points.
The Charles Henderson Trojans boys team also lost to Auburn 69-39. Jydarien Burney led CHHS with 15 points in the loss.
Both the CHHS Trojans and Lady Trojans also faced Luverne earlier this week. The girls team lost 55-44. Worley led CHHS with 19 points, while Kamari Stroizer earned 14 points and seven rebounds.
The Trojans beat Luverne 85-53. Tyler Cross led CHHS with 18 points, while Cody Cross earned 13 points.
