Tonight, Tuesday, December 3, is the night for giving at the Vine Church (old movie theater building.)”
The Vine Church will be hosting an event for the Salvation Army at 6 p.m.
Donna Kidd, Pike County Salvation Army Service Center manager, said, at 6 p.m. the Salvation Army will be collecting shelf stable food items for its food pantry at the theater door and selling concessions inside, cash only. The Salvation Army’s event is sponsored by WoodmenLife Chapter 420.
Kidd expressed appreciation to the Vine Church for caring so much for the needs in “our” community.
Everyone is invited to come see the movie “Overcomer” and bring canned foods to donate.
“Overcomer” is about a high school basketball coach and his team facing an uncertain future when the town’s largest manufacturing plant shuts down and people move away.
People of all ages are invited to come see the movie, “Overcomer” and bring canned foods to donated to the food pantry.
Kidd encourages all ages to attend the movie “Overcommer,” which is uplifting, optimistic and spiritual.
