“Ole Time Christmas” at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama is an opportunity to celebrate Christmas much in the way that it was celebrated back when Christmas Trees were brought from the woods and decorated with pine cones and paper chains.

“It’s not like that anymore,” some might say. And, to that, Barbara Tatom, director of the Pioneer Museum of Alabama, says, “Yes, it is.”
“Ole Time Christmas” is celebrated at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama each year and has become a tradition for many families near and far, Tatom said. This year, Old Christmas will be celebrated at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama on December 13 and 14.

“We look forward to Ole Time Christmas each year and, already, plans are underway to create a Christmas that is much like it was celebrated for the pioneer children at this special time of the year,” Tatom said.

Ole Time Christmas will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14.

People of all ages will enjoy Old Time Christmas whether it’s

their first time or many times. Christmas never gets old, Tatom said.

Ole Time Christmas at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday December 13 and 14 and will feature make-and-take arts and crafts, Christmas cookies, games and, of course, Santa will come just to hear the Christmas wishes of the good little boys and girls.
