On Monday, the Sun Belt Conference announced Troy University kicker Scott Taylor Renfroe as the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Renfroe booted a career-long 50-yard field goal in Troy’s 52-20 win over Souther Miss on Saturday. Renfroe also made six of his PATs in the win, as well.

This is the Troy native’s second Player of the Week honor for the 2024 season. Renfroe finished the season connecting on 11-of-13 field goals to improve to 30-of-37 for his career. He’ll enter his senior season seventh all-time in program history in career field goals, 20 shy of the program record, and 15th in career scoring, with 174 points.
