Enterprise State baseball star Jabe Boroff commits to Troy

On Wednesday, Enterprise State Community College star baseball player Jabe Boroff announced his decision to commit to Troy University to continue his college career.

Boroff, a Pike Road native, played high school baseball at Macon-East Academy in Montgomery. As a senior, Boroff earned a .423 batting average with seven doubles, seven home runs and 34 RBIs along with earning All-State and All-Metro honors. As a junior, he earned a .545 batting average with 54 RBIs. Despite a severe knee injury during his high school career, he earned a scholarship at Enterprise State.

At ESCC, Boroff showed that he still had Division I talent despite the injury history, playing both catcher and infielder for the Boll Weevils. As a freshman, Boroff earned All-ACCC honors and was nominated for Player of the Year.

He earned an impressive .445 batting average with 12 doubles, eight homers, 31 runs and 49 RBIs. He led the ACCC in homers, RBIs, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. Defensively, Boroff earned 70 putouts and held a .909 fielding percentage.
