The Mean One, Mr. Grinch, attended the Christmas Parade in Brundidge Tuesday night. However, one cup of hot chocolate and the Grinch was a Merry Mr. Grinch.
The parade was one of the biggest and best we’ve had,” said LaTeria Baxter, president of the sponsoring Brundidge Business Association. “We had a wide variety of parade entries including high school bands, antique cars, utility vehicles, local queen representatives, a giant metal bull, tractors and motor bikes, a bull dozier and of course, we had Santa Claus and some of his elves and our very special Grand Marshall, Shirley Steed, whose husband, the late Lamar Steed was a longtime Brundidge business man and supporter of the Brundidge Business Association and its annual Christmas Parade.
Brundidge Mayor Isabell Boyd said, too, acknowledged the dedication of the Brundidge Business Association and role it plays in the continuing efforts in the continuing growth of Brundidge and the service to the community, not only on holidays, but all year around.
“Brundidge has strong holiday traditions and great pride in our community,” Boyd said. “We are continually looking for ways to generate growth in our business and community service areas. On nights like tonight, the Christmas Parade is a show of our community’s service and in the continuing of its positive relationship with all Pike County.”
