Troy native Zion Grady signs with Ohio State

On Wednesday, Troy native Zion Grady signed his college letter-of-intent to continue his football career at Ohio State University.

Grady was a two-time All-Messenger and All-State athlete at Charles Henderson High School, winning the Class 5A Lineman of the Year in 2022 and being named a finalist for the award again in 2023.

At Charles Henderson in 2023, Grady compiled 87 tackles, 24 tackles-for-loss, 11 sacks, 22 quarterback hurries and an interception return for a touchdown for the Trojans. In 2022, he tallied 108 tackles, 37 tackles-for-loss, 22 sacks, three forced fumbles and three blocked field goals as the Trojans earned a state runner-up finish in 5A.

Grady transferred to Enterprise High School prior to the 2024 season. Grady, a four-star rated college prospect, committed to the University of Alabama last year before flipping his commitment to Ohio State earlier this year.
