Christmas is just around the corner and shoppers are looking high and low for the best deals on Christmas gifts.

Perhaps, the Brundidge Historical Society’s $10 gift card is a best deal and keeps on giving.

The last full weekend in January, 24 and 25, the BHS will host the Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival at the We Piddle Around Theater on Friday night and on the campus of Troy University on Saturday.

Tickets are available for the three Saturday storytelling concerts at the Trojan Center Theater at $10 or $30 for all three. Each concert will feature headliners: Donald Davis, the Dean of Storytelling; Kevin Kling from icy, cold Minnesota; and Kim Weitcamp from America’s Heartland. A fourth teller will be announced later.

Each storytelling concert will open with traditional bands from the local area.

Lawrence Bowden, BHS past president, said over the last 15 years, thousands of people from all across the county have come to enjoy and absorb stories told by master tellers from all across the country.

“Some listeners come eagerly; others reluctantly, but almost, to a one, they all eagerly come back,” Bowden said.

Christmas gift tickets for the 2025 Pike Peddlers Storytelling Festival at the Trojan Center Theater (on the campus of Troy University) on Saturday, January 25 (10 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) are available at The Messenger or at Brundidge City Hall. Times are 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

It’s a gift that keeps on giving.
