After a sold-out audience at the “Three on a String” concert at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge Saturday night, the Brundidge Historical Society is turning its attention to the annual Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival on January 24 and 25, 2025.
The BHS’s Pike Peddlers Storytelling Festival will celebrate its 24th year of storytelling with nationally acclaimed storytellers, including Donald Davis, Kevin Kling and Kim Wycamp.
The 2025 Pike Peddlers Storytelling Festival will get off to a fast start on Friday, night, January 24 with supper and stories at the We Piddle Around Theater.
Cathie Steed, ticket chair, said the Friday night supper and storytelling is reserved for all-weekend ticket holders.
If the all-weekend tickets are not sold by a specified date, they will then be made available for general purchase, Steed said.
The Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival opens at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge and moves to the Trojan Center Theater on the campus of Troy University for three storytelling concerts on Saturday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on January 25.
Each concert opens by a local traditional music group 30 minutes prior to the storytelling concerts.
Steed said tickets are available for those who would like to give a gift that will keep on giving.
“The stories that are told on stage will be told again and again by those who know the wonder of storytelling,” Steed said. “As highly acclaimed Storyteller Kathryn Windham, said the best way to say ‘I love you’ is to say, “‘Come sit by me and let me tell you a story.’”
Come to the Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival and let “us” tell you a story.
