Trojans wallop LaGrange College in Tuesday night competition

The Troy Trojans (7-4) earned a resounding 105-60 win over the LaGrange Panthers (4-6) at home on Tuesday night.
Troy shot 52.9 percent from the field, whole the Trojan defense held LaGrange to just 29.8 percent shooting. Troy also outrebounded LaGrange 50-32 and outscored the Panthers 50-20 in the pain. Troy also forced 21 turnovers and scored 22 points off the turnovers. Troy also blocked nine shots on the nine.
Randarius Jones came off the bench to lead Troy with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks, while Dothan native Thomas Dowd added 12 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Jerrell Bellamy and Theo Seng scored 10 points each, while Seng also grabbed five rebounds and Bellamy earned three rebounds and a block. Cooper Campbell chipped in with eight points and four assists, while Tayton Conerway totaled nine points, three assists and three steals. Bellamy has now scored in double digits in four of the last six games.
Kameron McCall led LaGrange with 12 points, while Devin Dowell added 10 points and four rebounds.
Troy opens the Sun Belt Conference portion of its schedule this Saturday, Dec. 21, at home against Georgia State at 1 p.m. That will be the final game of the 2024 portion of Troy’s schedule. The Trojans will return after the New Year on Jan. 2 on the road against Appalachian State.
