The Charles Henderson and Ariton basketball teams will in hoops action this past weekend.

On Friday, the Ariton Purple Cats lost 62-54 to Class 6A Rehobeth in the second round of the Slocomb Holiday Hoops Tournament. Addison Senn led the Cats with 25 points in the loss.

The Cats followed that up with a 51-47 win over Class 4A Daleville on Saturday at home. Bryson Rhett led Ariton with 14 points, while Connor Davidson scored 13 points and earned 10 rebounds. Titus Senn added 11 points and Easton Kilpatrick chipped in with nine points.

The Ariton Lady Purple Cats also defeated Daleville by a score of 50-10. KJ Woodfaulk led Ariton with 12 points.

Also on Saturday, Charles Henderson Lady Trojans thumped Escambia County by a score of 45-29. Harmony Hubbard scored 13 points for the Lady Trojans in the win, while Jasmine Foster added 12 and Reaghan Worley scored 10 points.
