The Charles Henderson Trojans will come out of the Christmas break this Friday to compete in the Downtown Dothan Hoops Classic at the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan.

The Trojans will play Class 1A Georgiana in the opening round of the Hoops Classic on Friday, Dec. 27, at 4:30 p.m. First round games take place Dec. 26-27.

On Dec. 26, Eufaula plays Ashford at 3 p.m. followed by Wicksburg vs. Carroll at 4:30 p.m., Northside Methodist (Dothan) facing Headland at 6 p.m. and Dale County vs. Houston Academy at 7:30 p.m. The other Dec. 27 first round matchups pit Rehobeth against Geneva County at 3 p.m., Providence Christian (Dothan) against Geneva at 6 p.m. and Dothan vs. Abbeville at 7:30 p.m.

The quarterfinals take place Dec. 28 with the semifinals on Dec. 30 and both the third place game and championship on Dec. 31.

This is Charles Henderson’s second ever appearance in the Hoops Classic. Last season, the Trojans earned their inaugural appearance in the tournament by winning Dothan Turkey Classic in November of 2023. CHHS then made it to the quarterfinals of the Hoops Classic before falling to 7A Dothan. CHHS beat Ashford in the first round last season.
