Once again, the generosity of the people of Pike County came through in support of friends and neighbors in need.
The year 2024 presented many personal struggles in Pike County and all around the country.
Donna Kidd, director of the Pike County Salvation Army Service Center, said looking back on 2024, the generosity of the people of Pike County was incredible
“The support of our friends and neighbors in need throughout the year has been amazing,” Kidd said. “There are increasing needs here at home, especially during the winter months when heating costs increase. Often people are having to make decisions as to how to best use the money they have available. At times, that decision has to be made between staying warm or refilling a prescription.”
Kidd said it is thorough the generosity others that struggling families find hope and are reminded of God’s love.
“Thank you, Pike County, for caring about others and helping make life better for those who are struggling and for giving them hope.”
