Troy native KC Bradford and four other Trojans earn Academic All-District honors

A total of five Troy Trojans football players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, which was announced on Tuesday. 

KC Bradford, Tyler Cappi, Caleb Chappelle, Peyton Higgins and Landon Parker were honored for their work in the schedule and the football field. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have appeared in 90 of their school’s games or matches or must have started in at least 66 percent of the games or matches.

Bradford is a sophomore Troy native that was a star baseball, football and basketball player at Pike Liberal Arts School. He held a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall and is working towards his degree in global business management. Bradford played in 11 games for the Trojans in 2024 and was a starter on both Troy’s kickoff and punt return teams.

Cappi played in 11 games for the Trojans in 2024 and started against Iowa and Memphis on the offensive line. The sophomore Priceville native has a 3.60 GPA and is majoring in cybersecurity. 

Chappelle earned his bachelor’s degree in December in interdisciplinary suites, holding a 3.69 GPA in the fall. The Woodlands, Texas, senior played in all 12 games at receiver and on special teams. He earned the second-most snaps on special teams of any other player on the roster with 207 total plays. 

Higgins graduated in December with a degree in interdisciplinary studies after holding a 3.50 GPA entering the fall. The Florence senior started all 12 games for the Trojans and registered 31 catches for 301 yards an a touchdown at receiver. 

Parker started 10 games for Troy at receiver and played in all 12 contests, catching 27 passes for 350 yards. The Concord, NC, senior entered the fall semester with a 3.64 GPA in post-baccalaureate work. 

All five Trojans are eligible for the Academic All-America team, which will be announced Jan. 28.
