Former CHHS stars Jayden Spearman and Bray Jones making an impact in college

Bray Jones and Jayden Spearman played together at Charles Henderson High School and now the pair are both making an impact at the junior college (JUCO) level. 

Jones is in his freshman season at Enterprise State Community College this season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, one assist and 1.6 steals per game. Jones has scored 10 or more points in five games this season, including a season-high 15 against Andrew College on Nov. 5 and Nov. 14. In the Nov. 5 game, Jones also earned four steals and in the Nov. 15 contest he filled up the stat sheet with four rebounds, four assists and six steals to go along with his 15 points. Jones also scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds and earned two assists and two steals in a Jan. 7 ESCC win over Marion Military Institute. 

Spearman was an All-Conference guard at ESCC last season but transferred to New Mexico Junior College this season. Spearman is averaging 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and one steal per game. Spearman scored a season-high 21 points in a win over Northern Oklahoma College on Nov. 16 and then followed that up with 20 points in a win in the next contest. Spearman has also began receiving Division I scholarship offers as the University of New Orleans and his hometown Troy University have both offered him so far this season.
