In Pike County, it’s storytelling and music time!

The annual Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival not only features the best storytellers on the planet, each storytelling concert opens with some of the  best country, gospel, traditional and bluegrass bands This side of Nashville.

The 2025 Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival opens at the We Piddle Around Theater, in Brundidge (sold out) and continues with three storytelling concert at the Trojan Center Theater on the campus of Troy University.

The pre-show music begins 30 minutes prior to the storytelling concerts at 10 a.m., 2 and 6:30 p.m.

This year, Mernette Bray, event chair, said  Glory Avenue, a traditional group, will lead off the 10 a.m. storytelling concert  at the Trojan Center Theater. The Benton Brothers, who have recorded in Nashville, will take the stage for the 2 p.m. concerts and Glory Avenue  will headline the closing concert.
