Sunday crash claims the life of Bill B. Williams of Brundidge, three others injured

According to a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, Jan. 19, claimed the life of 54-year-old Bill B. Williams of Brundidge.
According to a release from ALEA, the crash occurred at 1:57 p.m. on Jan. 19 when the 2009 Hyundai Genesis that Williams was driving struck the rear-end of a 1997 Toyota 4Runner driven by 48-year-old Colin E. Vaughan of Troy. Williams was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Vaughan was injured in the crash and transported to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment. Two passengers in Vaughan’s vehicle were also injured in the crash. Michael L. Ennis, 50, of Troy, was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment and Angel D. Buckreis, 51, of Ariton, was ejected from the 4Runner and transported to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton, Fla., for treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 231 near the 177-mile marker one mile north of Brundidge. ALEA Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
