Troy University Athletics announced on Monday that it will honor Hall of Famer Mike Amos this Saturday, Feb. 1, with Mike Amos Day during Troy’s basketball game against ULM. 

Amos recently retired from his position with the Troy University Alumni Association at the end of 2024 after more than 50 years with the university. One of Troy Athletics’ biggest supporters has also been inducted into the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame. His morning show Today in LA was a staple in the Pike County area for nearly three decades. 

Feb. 1 will also serve as Troy Basketball Letterwinner’s Day. Members of the Archer Alumni Group, a Troy alumni group that honors former basketball players who played for Coach John Archer, will take part in the celebration with Amos during halftime of the ULM game. Commemorative mini posters honoring Amos will also be available for fans at the game. 

Troy plays ULM at 3:33 p.m. on Saturday at Trojan Arena.
