The Charles Henderson Trojans earned a 62-45 win over Brewbaker Tech to capture the Class 5A, Area 3 Regular Season Championship on Tuesday.

The win kept the No. 9-ranked Trojans undefeated at 6-0 in the area and means CHHS will host the Area Tournament this Saturday in Troy. Kameron Christian led the Trojans with 19 points in the win, while Jydarien Burney earned a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Cross added nine points in the win.

The CHHS Lady Trojans fell to 1-5 in the area, however, with a 41-36 loss to Brewbaker Tech on Tuesday. Harmony Hubbard and Kamari Stroizer led the Lady Trojans with 10 points apiece.

Also, the Ariton Purple Cats fell 59-50 to Northside Methodist on Tuesday. Adison Senn tallied 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Cats, while Bryson Rhett added nine points and seven rebounds. The Ariton Lady Cats earned a 51-48 win over Northside, though. That win moved Ariton to 14-4 on the season. Nya Allen, Macileigh Bragg and Lizzy Woodfaulk each scored 14 points in the win.
