McBride’s triple-double lifts Goshen over Zion Chapel

The Goshen Eagles earned a 64-44 win over the Zion Chapel Rebels in a Class 2A, Area 3 clash as Makayel McBride earned a rare triple-double.

Goshen fell behind early 15-9 in the first quarter but exploded to score 22 points in the second quarter to take a 31-25 lead into halftime. Goshen led 48-39 going into the final frame. In the fourth, Goshen outscored Zion Chapel 16-5 to secure the victory.

McBride scored 14 points with 12 rebounds and an eye-popping 10 blocked shots as he earned a rare triple-double. Sam Adams also earned a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Jumari Flowers scored 11 points. Jayden McNabb added nine points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Zion Chapel was led by Joseph LeGear with 19 points and Brodie Stinson scored 10.
