Once again, the Pike County Extension Office will provide free tax assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program starting February 3, 2025, and running through April 4, 2025.
Abby Peters, Pike County Extension coordinator, said this program is designed to assist taxpayers with an annual income of $60,000 or less, as well as seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with limited English proficiency.
Participants cam drop off their tax documents at the Extension Office, located at 306 South Three Notch Street in Troy.
This service allows taxpayers to conveniently leave their documents with certified VITA volunteers for preparation, eliminating long wait-times. Completed returns will be ready for pick-up after processing.
For more information or to schedule a drop-off, please call the Pike County Extension Office at (334) 566-0985.
