Charles Henderson 4×200 relay team captures State Championship

The Charles Henderson High School 4×200 relay team capture first place in the AHSAA 4A-5A State Indoor Championship this weekend.
The Trojans finished with a time of 1:32.35, ahead of second place Brewbaker Tech’s time of 1:33.24. The CHHS 4×200 relay team is made up of Trojans Jamal Downing, Kourtni Christian, Terrance Thomas and Brice Baker.
In total, the Charles Henderson boys finished tied for 15th overall, while the CHHS girls finished 19th overall in the state. Payton Ousley also took the silver in the girls 60-meter dash with a time of 7.87, just behind first place’s time of 7.83. Ousley also finished in sixth place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.80.
