All roads will lead to downtown Troy this weekend for the 10th Annual TroyFest arts and crafts show.

Rob Drinkard, TroyFest chair, said that TroyFest 2012 promises to be one of the biggest and best ever.

“We have an outstanding gallery of fine arts and crafts artists with a wide rang e of mediums – painting, pottery, jewelry, photography, drawing and graphic arts, functional traditional crafts, decorative traditional crafts and sculpture.

“There is also a corner just for kids, a corner for community vendors and a large number of food vendors. It will be a great day in downtown Troy.”

TroyFest has a jam-packed lineup of entertainment today and Sunday, with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers, a national award winning clogging group from Mars Hill, N.C., as today’s featured entertainment.

Rob Drinkard, TroyFest chair, said Troy is fortunate have such an outstanding group of cloggers take center stage at TroyFest.

“Clogging has been popular in Troy and Pike County for several years and we expect to have a large crowd at the Troy Cable Entertainment Stage for both of the Bailey Mountain Cloggers performances, at 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. today.”

Drinkard said there will be entertainment throughout Saturday at both the Stephens Gazebo on the square and the Troy Cable Entertainment Stage. Sunday entertainment will be on the entertainment stage.

Entertainment on the Troy Cable Entertainment Stage today will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers and continue with The Charles Henderson High School Drama Group at 11:30 a.m. and The Benton Brothers & Company at noon.

The Bailey Mountain Cloggers will be back on center stage at 1 p.m., followed by the bands from CHHS, Pike County High School and Charles Henderson Middle School at 2 p.m. The Troy University Jazz Band and Ray Smith and Friends will close out Saturday’s entertainment at 4:15 p.m.

The Gazebo will be alive with the sound of old-time music Saturday beginning with the WPA Scratch Band at 9 a.m. and the Benton Brothers (bluegrass gospel) at 10 a.m.

Jared Henderson (acoustic mix) will take the stage at 11 a.m. and Good News Blues (Christian blues) will follow at noon.

Fire Mountain (alternative folk) is set for 1 p.m. with the Shepherd Family (gospel) at 2 p.m. and Lenny Trawick and his guitar students at 3 p.m.

On Sunday, the Troy Cable Entertainment Stage will feature SheBANG! at noon, In His Steps at 12:45 p.m. and The Benton Brothers at 1:30 p.m.

The Boys/Girls Club will perform at 2:15 p.m. followed by James Mullis at 3 p.m. The First Baptist Ensemble will close out the 10th Annual TroyFest entertainment at 3:45 p.m.

A non-denominational church service will be held at 9 a.m. at the Gazebo Sunday for the artists and craftsmen and others who would like to attend.

Admission to TroyFest is free and the entertainment will be outstanding, Drinkard said.

“We invite everyone to join us for this outstanding arts and crafts festival and all the fun and entertainment as well,” he said.
