Both the Troy Park and Recreation Dixie Angels and Ponytail softball leagues put together names for their Tournament Teams recently, both leagues naming 12 to their rosters.
In the Ponytail league, the overall league leading Jammers placed the most names on the list sporting three while the rest of the league was pretty evenly distributed with two names from the Rumblers, Chicks, Stampede and Volcanoes and the Wildfires getting one on the roster.
Head coach for the team will be Karen Outlaw who coached the Jammers to their first place finish. assistant coaches will be Paul Gilbert, head coach of the Stampede and Josh Howard.
As for the Dixie Angels, five of the seven teams in the league filled up the 12-person roster. Three were named from both the Crocs and Bay Bears, while the Lugnuts, Aquasox and Jammers all placed tow names on the list.
The Bay Bears led the league with only two losses on the season giving head coach Dan Boswell the right to coach the Tournament team. He will be joined by Bay Bears’ assistant coach Eddie Jennings and Jammers head coach Geoffery Spann.
Members of the Ponytail League Tournament Team are: Jordan Barnette (Jammers), Kimberly Collins (Jammers), Jehle Flowers (Rumblers), Lindsey Garner (Chicks), Emily Gilbert (Stampede), Eden Harris (Chicks), Whitney Johnson (Jammers), Shuntrice Rayborn (Volcanoes), Bayli Samples (Wildfires), Heather Snell (Volcanoes), Autumn Welch (Stampede) and Heather West (Rumblers).
