Willie lewis Johnson, 50, of 1121 City Park Toledo, Ohio died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo.
His funeral was held at noon, Friday, Feb. 11 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with the Rev. Julius Buskey presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Community Cemetery. Harrison Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Survivors include father, William Lewis Johnson of Troy; wife, Verdale Johnson of Toledo, Ohio; daughters, Dionne Johnson of Montgomery, Valentina, Carolyn and Linda all of Toledo; sons Willie Lewis Johnson, Jr. of Dothan, Eric Johnson, Ray Johnson and Gene all of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Lena Pearl Weaver (Robert) of Mobile, Katie Allen (Walter) of Atmore, Brenda Curry (Rev. John) of Tuskegee, Ruby Dean Ivery (James) of Anderson, Ind., Glory Gene Coleman of Los Angles, Calif.; brother, Ronald Johnson (Debra) of Troy; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Floralbearers will be friends of the family.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1949 in Pike County to William Lewis Johnson and the late Marnes Johnson. He was employed at Sharon Manufactory and Wonder Bread Company. He attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Troy.
