Terry J. Walker, 27, of Goshen was arrested over the weekend on charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Both charges carry a $50,000 bond attached.

The shooting occurred in a church yard at the intersection of County Road 101 and County Road 6 during the early morning hours of Jan. 19.

According to Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas, Dwayne Caldwell and Juawana Walker were together in her vehicle when the suspect began shooting at them with a 45-calibre semi-automatic pistol.

Caldwell was shot in the right arm and Juawana Walker escaped serious injury.

Following the incident, Caldwell and the female victim drove away from the scene. The suspect reportedly chased them in another vehicle.

Caldwell was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper right arm and was later transferred to Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham for further treatment of nerve damage, Thomas said.

An investigation of the scene and search of the vehicle determined at least six shots were fired from the pistol.
