All ablaze

A series of brushfires Monday morning kept firefighters busy.
The fires were called in about 10:30 a.m. and firefighters from Meeksville Volunteer Fire Department, Pike County Fire and Rescue and Banks Volunteer Fire Department responded, along with the Alabama Forestry Commission.
One blaze was along County Road 7711 and two were on County Road 7708.
No structures were ever in danger and firefighters stopped the flames from spreading into wooded areas.
No cause of the fires was released Monday.
