Moses Joel Richardson, 51, of Rt. 2, Box K8 died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999 at his residence.
His funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Rock Elvy Baptist Church, Shady Grove with the Rev. Raymond Franklin presiding. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Harrison Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Survivors include, son, Reginald Richardson of Montgomery; parents, Joel (Georgia) Richardson of Shady Grove; sisters, Annie Mae (Ben) Cato of Shady Grove; Carolyn Tuck and Doris Jean Williams both of Troy; Doris Mae (Jimmy Lewis) Anderson of Anderson, Ind; brother, Oliver Waddell (Lucy) Richardson or New York; granddaughter, Shavontey Stokes of Montgomery; aunts, Jessie M. Jacobs; Flossie Richardson; Carrie Henderson; and Sylvia (Joseph) Smith all of Montgomery; Mary Alice Richardson of Troy; Minnie Pearl Mckee of Chicago; Essie Mae Richardson of Shady Grove; uncles, Mason Griffin and Joe Carter both of Montgomery; Walter Taylor of Atlanta; James (Johnnie Mae) Weatherly of Birmingham; great-aunt Willie B. Christian; a host of cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Richardson was born on Jan. 18, 1948 in Pike County to Joel Richardson and the late Josie McClain Richardson. He attended Pike County Schools. He also attended Rock Elvy Baptist Church in Shady Grove.
Visitation was from 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Hillary Glenn Phillips
Hillary Glenn Phillips, 65, of 314 Crawley Dr. in Brundidge, died Monday, December 20, 1999 at Baptist Medical Center South.
His funeral will be held graveside with full military honors at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23 at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with the Rev. Cliff Allred presiding. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge is handling arrangements.
Survivors include, sister, Margaret P. McLendon of Brundidge; brother, Charles Phillips of Crestview; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.
