The Pike County Bulldog Varsity men were unable to hold off the Enterprise Wildcats Tuesday night falling in a 69-43 showing.

The Bulldogs (2-3) had trouble finding the basket all night and the Wildcats were able to take full advantage.

The first period was a tight defensive battle with the Wildcats taking an early lead. A circus shot by Jhirmal White allowed the Bulldogs to get the two-points and the foul to pull within an 11-10 score.

The Wildcats then shut down the PCHS offense and mounted an eight-point scoring drive to end the first period with a 22-11 lead.

The second period began with the Bulldogs struggling with the Enterprise defense. At the same time the Wildcats began to sink everything. The Bulldogs had problems handling the ball giving the Wildcats opportunity after opportunity to add to the lead and the first half ending with Enterprise ahead 37-21.

The third period was more of the same. The Bulldogs constantly found themselves surrounded by Wildcat players making open shots near impossible.

As the Wildcats continued their scoring barrage the Bulldogs fell deeper and deeper in the hole.

The third period ended with the Wildcats in command 52-31 and the Bulldogs were able to do very little to chip away at the Wildcat lead in the fourth.

The Bulldogs were able to leave the game with one positive-nine different Bulldog players scored in the game. Among the leaders were Jhirmal White with eight, Sam Diggs had six points and Eric Gosha notched six.

The Lady Bulldogs were able to salvage the evening with a 49-40 win over the Lady Wildcats.

After ending the first period deadlocked at eight, the Lady Bulldog offense exploded for a 24-19 lead going into the half and never let up.

The Bulldog B-team was unable to come away with a win falling 50-30.
