Funeral services for Carolyn P. Senn, 58, of Opelika will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel.
Burial will be in Garden Hills Cemetery. Dr. Rusty Sowell will be officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Senn who was born August 2, 1951 passed away at her home Sept.7, 2009.
Her first career was raising her family but at the age of 38 she graduated nursing school in the top 10 of her class.
She received an LPN degree and was very dedicated to her field.
She was employed by Opelika Pediatric Clinic for 19 years where she was loved by all her fellow employees and patients.
She loved a good novel and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt.
Carolyn was very dedicated to her family and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally.
The family would like to give a special thanks to one of our family members, Kimberly Adams, for all the extra love and care she gave to our mom.
We would also like to thank the staff of East Alabama Medical Center and Hospice of EAMC.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 43 years, J.C. Senn, Jr.; daughter, Tracy (Dale) Oglesby; son, Jerry (Jill) Senn; brothers, Tommy (Vickie) Pyles and Tony (Vickie) Pyles; grandchildren, Amanda (Jackie) Frazier, Jake Senn, Gracie Senn, Dylan Oglesby and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Frazier and Jaxon Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Louise Pyles and 1 brother, Tim Pyles.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Alabama Medical Center.
