Carmen Hazen

Carmen Hazen age 74 passed away in Troy September 5, 2009.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William E. Hazen, her son Major Christopher D. Hazen and Daughter-in-law Meredith Ivy Hazen of Manassas, VA, her daughter Janan Hazen Warren and son-in-law Robert Warren of Eastover, NC, 2 brothers, Raja Ekmekji and Dikran Ekmekji, 3 sisters Thelma Ekmekji, Mona Kouyoumjian, and Nadia Afif.
She is also survived by 2 Grandchildren Katherine E. Hazen and Tyler Hazen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hazen was born in Aleppo Syria, moving to Beirut Lebanon in 1946. She attended Beirut College for Women receiving a Bachelor’s Degree.
The Hazen family moved to Alabama in 1998 where she received a Master’s Degree from Troy State University.
She was a member of PEO in Troy and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Montgomery.
Funeral Services will be held in the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Candasu’ Vernon officiating. Inurnment will be private.
Friends may call Wednesday, September 9th from 6:30 to 8 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Donations are preferred to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Carmen Hazen Memorial Fund.
