New retailer set to open Nov. 21

A new retail store will open its doors in Troy this weekend.
Tractor Supply Co. will open for business Nov. 21 at 8 a.m.
Store Manager Brendan Scott said he is excited about the opening.
“We’re excited about opening our doors and welcoming customers,” Scott said. “We’re ready to serve our neighbors in Troy and the surrounding communities.”
Pike County Economic Development President Marsha Gaylard said the new company should do well in Troy.
“We’re really excited that Tractor Supply picked Troy as one its new locations,” Gaylard said. “They are a very good company, and we think they will do well here in Pike County.”
The store is located in the Southland Village in the former Goody’s location and has 25,000 square feet, which includes a sales floor and support service space.
Outside the store, there is a fenced exterior, which serves as a display area for large items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.
Troy’s newest retailer will bring with it 16 new full and part-time jobs.
Tractor Supply Co. is the largest retail farm and ranch supply chain in the U.S., and operates more than 895 stores in 44 states.
An official grand opening will be held in December.
The store offers a wide variety of merchandise including, corral panels, watering equipment for livestock, equine equipment and stalls, feed, livestock immunizations, pond maintenance supplies, pet supplies, bird houses and hummingbird feeders, go carts and UTVs, combine parts, batteries and tires, fuel handling equipment, generators and storm preparations accessories and outdoor equipment.
