Chris Adamson, father of Brundidge’s nearly 4-month missing Amber Price, hasn’t been asking too many questions. He’s just glad to have his daughter back home.

Price, 14, who was reported missing in February, was located in Tuscaloosa Saturday and has been returned to her home in Pike County.

“We’re just glad to have her back in one piece and alive,” Adamson said.

For the Brundidge father, the time his daughter’s been away has been a trying one for his family.

“Four months and six days,” worth of wondering, praying and just hoping for Amber’s safe return.

Adamson, now, said he is just counting his blessings.

“I thank God she’s alive, and he brought her back to us,” he said.

Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said the police department received an anonymous call Friday night saying Price was staying at a residence on Third Avenue in Tuscaloosa.

Davenport said the police then contacted the Tuscaloosa PD who brought Price into custody until Brundidge officers went to pick her up Saturday. Davenport said she was then turned into the custody of the Pike County Department of Human Resources, pending a court hearing Monday in which she was returned to her family.

“She’s back in our custody now,” Adamson said. “She’ll be living with her step mom here in Troy. We’re excited to have her back home and get everything started back over.”

Both Adamson and Davenport said it is still unclear who Price was with and why she left in the first place. “All we know is she was with some friends. I don’t know who they are,” Adamson said. “We’re trying to absorb everything one day at a time, and we’ll try to find out why she’s done what she’s done.” Adamson said per court order his daughter will be wearing an ankle bracelet.
