The only game not involving a Troy team at the Dixie Ponytails sub-district tournament Friday was a battle between Eufaula and Abbeville.

In that game, Eufaula pounded Abbeville 11-1.

Abbeville got a run in the top of the first from Elizabeth Whitt, but would not score again.

Eufaula scored six in the bottom half of the first, as its first five hitter crossed the plate. Jazz Purswell, Amy Casker, Bree Harris, Lara Darrow, Laura Turchiano and Morgan Hicks all scored in the first for Eufaula.

Eufaula came back with four more runs in the second from Shelby Maine, Summer Orr, Casker and Harris.

Maine would add one more in the fourth for the game’s final run.

Maine, Casker and Harris all scored two runs each for Eufaula.

Eufaula will play Dothan National today at 6 p.m. for the right to advance and play Troy in the winner’s bracket finale.

Abbeville, meanwhile, will play Ozark in an elimination game at 8 p.m.
