While Tuesday’s inclement weather caused numerous power outages and electrical fire concerns throughout the City of Troy, the weather also led to some incidents on local roads.
An accident occurred on 231 South near mile marker 178 Tuesday afternoon, causing two Clio women to be transported to Troy Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to Alabama State Trooper spokesman Kevin Cook.
Lizet Guevara, 24 was traveling south in her 2000 Ford F-150 when her vehicle struck a vehicle being driven by Jesse Jones, 54, of Daleville.
Both Guevara and her passenger, her mother Elvira Guevara, were transported to TRMC following the wreck.
While the two Guevara women were transported to TRMC, Cook said Jones walked away from the collision with no injuries.
