John Bradley Richards, age 41 of Mooresville, NC died Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Florida.
Bradley dedicated his life to providing the best possible life for his wife and daughter. When his daughter was a newborn, he was working as a manual laborer for the local Brundidge shirt factory. Realizing that he wanted better for his family, he decided to go to college where he ultimately graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Troy State University in 1996, double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Information Systems. Following short stints with various software firms, Bradley was hired by Microsoft in 1998. Through the example of his life, Bradley has inspired everyone around him to savor every ounce of joy and laughter in life and to reach for the stars!
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with Reverends Ashley Faulk and Malcolm Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Kendra Richards and his daughter Adrienne Richards of Mooresville, NC, his parents John Henry and Shirley Richards and brother Charles Stephen Richards of Brundidge, AL, his sister and brother-in-law Sophia Danielle and Timothy Altomare of Alexandria, VA, mother-in-law Linda Joyce Sanders of Troy, AL, Grandmother Minnie Ruth Crook of Opp, AL, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Kenneth Leroy Ferry, sister-in-law Cynthia Lynn Ferry, and his grandparents Virgil Parker and Charlie and Lamerle Richards.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Welch, Phillip Maulden, and his colleagues at Microsoft.
