Corey Ming, 33, of Brundidge, and Benjamin Dansby, 32, of Brundidge were arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in the Banks community.

After executing a search warrant for Ming’s residence at 304 Pine St. in Brundidge, the Sheriff’s Office recovered a large amount of stolen property including tools, electronics, laptops, jewelry, a television, old money, coins an air compressor, camera and chain saw.

Property recovered spanned eight different burglaries in the Banks area. Old money, coins and baseball cards were recovered from a burglary in Coffee County.

“It’s been a slow go of identifying possible victims and having them come in to look at the recovered property,” said Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas. “There are other cases pending where the men may be charged.”

So far, Ming has been charged with three counts of receiving stolen property and Dansby has one burglary charge.

Thomas said there are items that have not been identified by owners. Those items include jewelry, a Dewalt sawzall, a wet tile saw, assorted rings and necklaces and a 1994 class ring from Richburg High School with the name Justin inscribed on the inside.

Thomas said the burglary cases were still under investigation.

In a separate incident, another Brundidge man was arrested in connection with the suspected sale of illegal drugs.

Michael S. Sanford, 41, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Thomas said deputies seized about $1,200 in cash and four grams of crack cocaine.

“I want to thank Chief Moses Davenport and the Brundidge Police Department for their help serving this search warrant and making this arrest,” Thomas said.
