Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center is always finding ways for residents to get together with their families and friends in a fun way.
One of the most popular events at TH&R for the residents and for their families is the Fall Festival.
“Our residents look forward to the Fall Festival every year and the staff does, too,” said Jeanette Dawkins, TH&R activities director. “Sunday is Fall Festival day and we have a lot of activities planned for the residents and their families and friends. So we encourage all of those who have a family member or friend at Troy Health and Rehab to join us between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday for an afternoon of harvest time fun.”
The residents and their families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of games and contests that most of the residents will remember from Halloween Carnivals.
“Go fishing” and the cupcake walk are activities that the residents enjoy the most, Dawkins said. However, ring toss is a popular game. Family members and friends will also have an opportunity to participate in the games and contests.
Hotdogs, chips and drinks will be served so the Fall Festival will be an afternoon of fellowship, food and fun.
“We invite the families and friends of our resident to join us for the Fall Festival at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center,” Dawkins said. “It will be a great way to celebrate the harvest season with our residents.”
