This missing dog has been reunited with his owners. There will be an update on this story in Thursday’s edition.
A Good Samaritan on a blue pickup truck rescued at little white pup from the traffic on Three Notch Street directly across from Troy Bank and Trust Company around 6:45 Tuesday morning.
Now, Chip, Cristin and Thomas Dillard are waiting and hoping that the Good Samaritan will find her way to them.
“Someone told us that they saw our white, male maltipoo, Carter, in the street early Tuesday morning,” Chip Dillard said. “One vehicle slowed and went around him. He started off the street but then came back in the street. The blue pickup, I think it was a Chevy, stopped. A lady got out, picked Carter up and put him in the back of the truck.
“We are so grateful that the lady cared enough to get him out of the street. He was wearing a green stripped collar but without tags. So, she had no way of knowing how to contact his owner. We are getting the word out in hopes of having Carter returned to us soon. Our family really misses him.”
The Dillards live at 113 Pine Street in Troy. Anyone with information about the best friend of the Dillard family is asked to call 334-434-0334 or 434-2624.
