The Charles Henderson varsity volleyball team continued its winning ways against Dale County on Monday night, winning in four games 22-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-11.
The win extended the Trojans’ winning streak to five games in row and improved their record to 5-1.
“The girls are really playing well together,” Charles Henderson head coach Jennifer Sikes said.
“They are making the adjustments they need to in order to be successful and it is paying off.”
Sikes said even though the girls got off to a slow start, they were able to rebound nicely.
“After we lost the first game, the girls didn’t show too much concern. They knew they had not played their best game.
“But during the next two games, the team began to play stronger, and they really put the pressure on Dale County,” the coach added.
Today, the team will look to exact some revenge against the school that handed the Trojans their only loss of the season – Dothan.
“We would like to even up the score on them,” Sikes said.
“I think we are a different team from the beginning of the season.
[The girls] have played a lot together and become more confidant in how they play.
“It would be nice to take a win back home with us,” the coach added.
The Trojans will take on the Tigers today, in Dothan, at 4:30 p.m.
The junior varsity was also successful in Dale County on Monday as the team won its match in two games, 25-5 and 25-14.
