Miss Anne Alexandra Pelfrey of Troy, Alabama, and Mr. Mark Jordan Wills, junior, of Columbia, South Carolina, were united in marriage at 7:00 o’clock in the evening on Saturday, the fifteenth of December 2012, in Founders Chapel at Auburn Methodist Church, Auburn, Alabama. Dr. George H. Mathison officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Virgil Lee Pelfrey, junior, of Troy, Alabama, and the late Mr. Pelfrey. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Gerald L. Johnson, senior, Enterprise, Alabama, the late Mr. John M. McElrath, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lee Pelfrey, senior, Clio, Alabama. She is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School, Troy, Alabama, and Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jordan Wills, senior, of Martinez, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mr. Dennis Eugene Daye of Columbia, South Carolina, and the late Mrs. Daye, and Mrs. Thomas Jackson Wills, III, of Charleston, South Carolina, and the late Commander Wills. He is a graduate of Lakeside High School, Augusta, Georgia, and Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Science. He is currently employed with B. L. Harbert International.

Given in marriage by her mother and family, the bride was escorted by her grandfather, Major Gerald Lee Johnson, senior, of Enterprise, Alabama. The Honorable Richard Joe Lindsey, senior, of Centre, Alabama, uncle of the bride, escorted the mother of the bride. Brides’ matrons were Mrs. Suzanne Bhatti Batson of Raleigh, North Carolina, friend of the bride, and Mrs. Anna Lindsey Palmer of Centre, Alabama, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Miss Brittany Greer of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Miss Elizabeth Grimes of Montgomery, Alabama, and Miss Jessica Hills of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, all friends of the bride.

Mr. Mark Jordan Wills, senior, served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Brandon Campbell of Maryville, Tennessee, Mr. Trey Crowley of Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Christopher Matthews of Nashville, Tennessee, all friends of the groom, and Mr. Nash Daye Wills of Martinez, Georgia, brother of the groom.

Music was provided by Mr. R. Scott Sexton, friend of the bride, of Jackson, Mississippi, pianist and organist; Ms. Kerri Taylor, friend of the bride, of Brundidge, Alabama, vocalist; and Mrs. Julia Norton of Auburn, Alabama, handbell soloist. Mrs. Joanna Reaves of Auburn, Alabama, coordinated the wedding ceremony, and Ms. Denise Hamilton, cousin of the bride, of Birmingham, Alabama, directed the wedding activities.

Following the ceremony, the mother of the bride entertained guests with a reception at Greystone Mansion, Auburn, Alabama. After a honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
