Teenagers from all over Pike County will be able to ask as many questions about the consequences of driving under the influence, and how to drive on the road with 18-wheelers tonight.
Pike County will be hosting the third annual Teen Safe Driving event tonight at Cattlemen Park.
Vendors such as the Alabama Department of Public Health, ABC Board, Troy Police Department, and the Operation SAVE teams will be in attendance before the event starts to give vital information to teens and parents from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
“The event is really geared towards everyone,” said Jennifer Garrett, event organizer. “All teenagers, college students, and young adults are all welcomed to the event.”
The last two events brought in more than 200 people.
“I’m expecting more than 300 people because of the extended advertising,” said Garnett.
Garnett said admission is free and it’s not to late to set up a booth during the event.
Lt. Mike Reese with the ABC Board and Ben Crawley of Wiley Sanders Truck Lines are the guest speakers for the event.
T-shirts will be sold at the event and all proceeds will go toward funding the Teen Safe Driving program.
