PCHS looks for upsets in tournament

Pike County High School will look to knock off the No. 6 team in Class 3A as the Bulldogs face Barbour County in the Area 4 tournament.
Pike County nearly pulled the upset on Jan. 25. Barbour County escaped with the 59-56 win late.
The Bulldogs enter the game after falling in its final area contest to Abbeville putting them into a tie with Montgomery Catholic for the fourth-seed in the tournament. Pike County then lost the coin toss meaning they will face the regular season area champs Barbour County.
Pike County finished the 2012-13 regular season 2-4 in area play with wins over Montgomery Catholic and Abbeville.
The Bulldogs first round matchup will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Barbour County High School on Friday.
The Pike County girls team will play Abbeville at 6:30 p.m. tonight in Abbeville.
